As a fast-growing global brand due to launch in early 2025, we’re on an exciting journey of expansion and are looking for a Head of E-Commerce to join our team.
The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, results-driven Head of E-commerce to lead the strategy, growth, and optimisation of our online business. This role is pivotal in driving revenue, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring our website is a high-performing, conversion-led platform.
You will need to strike the perfect balance between technical expertise (working with developers to ensure seamless UX, site performance, and integrations) and commercial acumen (trading the website, driving growth, and ensuring strong digital marketing execution).
Key Responsibilities
E-commerce Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Own and optimise key performance metrics including conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to ensure best-in-class digital marketing execution (SEO, paid search, paid social, email, affiliates).
- Identify and implement growth opportunities across international markets.
Site Performance & Development
- Lead website development projects, working closely with developers to enhance site speed, navigation, and UX/UI.
- Oversee site merchandising, ensuring optimal product categorisation and placement to drive sales.
- Manage the integration of tools and technologies (AI-driven personalisation, product recommendations, on-site search, etc.).
- Drive A/B testing and CRO initiatives to improve conversion.
E-commerce Trading & Performance
- Lead the trading strategy, ensuring the site is optimised for peak performance.
- Manage pricing, promotions, and online merchandising to maximise engagement and revenue.
- Own commercial reporting, delivering insights on trading performance and customer behaviour.
- Align with demand planning and logistics teams to ensure seamless stock availability and fulfilment.
Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with brand marketing teams to align online campaigns with wider brand activations.
- Optimise marketing spend across paid media channels to ensure efficiency and ROAS.
- Leverage data and analytics to improve targeting, segmentation, and conversion.
- Champion CRM strategies to drive customer retention and repeat purchase rates.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with digital, marketing, operations, and retail teams to align e-commerce with overall business goals.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and partners, ensuring best-in-class execution.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in a senior e-commerce role within a DTC brand (fashion, jewellery, beauty, luxury preferred).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus experience highly desirable).
- Solid experience in website management, CRO, UX, and site performance optimisation.
- Commercially driven, with experience in trading and revenue growth.
- Deep knowledge of performance marketing channels (Google Ads, Meta, Affiliates, SEO).
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with Google Analytics, Looker, or other BI tools.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- A passion for digital commerce, customer experience, and innovation.
